Welcome to the 2009 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod

6 - 12 July 2009

The Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is a world-renowned festival of music, song and dance. Competitors from more than fifty countries come together for one week to stand side by side through music, while each evening the Pavilion plays hosts to concerts by world-class artists. Our concerts in 2009 feature performers including Barbara Dickson, Faryl Smith, Sir Willard White and the Orchestra of the National Opera of Wales conducted by Carl Davis.

In 2009 musicians and dancers from across the world join celebrity artists including Barbara Dickson, Sir Willard White, Blake and Natasha Marsh on the Eisteddfod Stage, culminating in a fantastic concert featuring the music of James Bond performed by the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera, conducted by Carl Davis.

Visit our purpose-built site in the heart of North Wales' beautiful scenery. Join in the activities and fun on the field, come into the Pavilion and watch the outstanding competitions, relax by the outside stages and watch the scheduled and impromptu performances, or come to the evening concerts to see the best of the Eisteddfod competitors and the celebrity stars.
