Friends of the Eisteddfod’s Record Donation |

Today the Friends of Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod donated a record £28,250 to the Festival, continuing their long history as the largest sponsors of the Eisteddfod second to Government Aid. Since the Charity’s inception in 1973, with the intention of supporting the Eisteddfod financially and in many other ways, starting with a donation of £250 in 1974, to this year’s record donation, they have donated approximately £350,000 to the Eisteddfod. Friends Chairman Barrie Potter, presented the cheque to the Eisteddfod on the Royal Pavilion Stage on behalf of the charity which has approximately 2000 Members world wide.
